Designation: Principal Applications Engineer
Job Description
- Will play the role of Technical Architect.
- Will be responsible for the Technical Design of a specific Project Management Product
- Will have to work with Product Managers to understand requirements and translate that into Technical Design for existing Products
- Will have to do Design and Code Reviews for Product features.
- Will have to work with other architects / engineers to do technical mentoring / training
- Will have to drive technical innovation for the products by evaluating technologies / frameworks which could be leveraged in the Product implementations if required.
Desired Skills & Experience
Languages and Frameworks / APIs
Expertise – Java, Servlets, JSP, UML, DataStructures and Algorithms.
Good Understanding – HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JPA (or ORM frameworks), SQL,
Exposure – Java EE Technologies (JMS, JTA, JNDI etc), Spring or similar web framework
Design
Expertise – OO Concepts, Use cases, Basic UML diagrams, Identification of Classes/Functions, Translation of Requirements to Design
Good Understanding – Good Coding Practices, Code Review process, Design Patterns
Exposure – Advanced Design Patterns, Design Reviews
Others
- MUST have played a role of Technical lead, with exposure to doing design, reviews.
- MUST have very good analytical abilities.
- MUST be hands-on with development activities (coding, testing etc)
- Should have the ability to do mentoring, training of developers on technical topics.
- Preferably should have Product Development experience.
- Should have technical inclination and to grow on Technical path as an individual contributor.
Previous experience in Product Development is mandatory.
